I read a quote today and it grabbed me and hasn’t let me go yet. It is a quote from the journal of Raissa Maritain who is said to be a poet, a philosopher and who loved art, and poetry and social justice and had a passion for the truth. She lived 1883-1960.
“I have a feeling that what is asked of us is to live in the whirl-wind , without keeping back any of our substance, without keeping anything for ourselves…to let ourselves pitch and toss in the wave of the divine will until the day when it says, That’s enough.”
Below is a link to a great article about her life and thought and includes some of here poems.
